Fund objective

The Fund aims to achieve a total return on your investment through a combination of capital growth and income on the Fund’s assets, by investing at least 80% of its assets in investment grade (IG) (i.e. meet a specified level of credit worthiness) fixed income (FI) securities (such as bonds) issued by corporate issuers in developed markets and instruments related to such FI securities, including financial derivative instruments (FDIs) (i.e. investments the prices of which are based on one or more underlying assets) for investment purposes which may generate varying amounts of market leverage (i.e. where the Fund gains market exposure in excess of the value of its assets). The Fund may invest up to 20% of its assets in emerging markets. The Fund may invest in FI securities issued by governments, government agencies and supranationals and/or FI securities which are IG, instruments related to such FI securities, money market instruments (debt securities with short-term maturities), deposits and cash. The IM considers certain environmental, social and governance (ESG) characteristics when selecting securities to be held directly by the Fund. For further details please see the BlackRock website at https:/ /www.blackrock.com/baselinescreens More than 90% of the issuers of securities the Fund invests in are ESG rated or have been analysed for ESG purposes. The IM will create a portfolio with a higher ESG outcome versus Bloomberg Global Aggregate Corporate Index (the Index). The weighted average ESG rating of the Fund will be higher than the Index’s ESG rating. The IM intends the Fund to have a lower carbon emissions intensity score than the Index. The Investment Manager (IM) will use a ‘credit screening’ strategy to minimise exposure to FI securities perceived to be most at risk of a sharp deterioration in price. To achieve its objectives the Fund may obtain indirect exposure to securities through, inter alia, the use of FDIs and investments in units of collective investment schemes which may not satisfy the Fund’s ESG criteria. The Fund is actively managed and the IM has discretion to select the Fund's investments. The IM refers to the Index when constructing the Fund’s portfolio, and also for risk management purposes to ensure that the active risk (i.e. degree of deviation from the Index) taken by the Fund remains appropriate given the Fund’s investment objective and policy as further described in the prospectus. The Index should be used by investors to compare the performance of the Fund. Recommendation: This Fund may not be appropriate for short-term investment. Your shares will be distributing shares (i.e. dividend income will be paid on the shares monthly). Your shares will be denominated in US Dollar, the Fund's base currency. You can buy and sell your shares daily. The minimum initial investment for this share class is US$1,000,000 or other currency equivalent. For more information on the Fund, share/unit classes, risks and charges, please see the Fund's prospectus, available on the product pages at www.blackrock.com
