Partnership Agreement with Telrad Networks

Integrated next generation PTT Solution over LTE set for roll-out

Mobile Tornado (AIM: MBT), the leading provider of instant communication mobile solutions to the enterprise market, announces that it has signed a Partnership Agreement with global LTE telecoms solutions provider, Telrad Networks ("Telrad"), to offer an integrated, end-to-end solution for Push-to-Talk (PTT) communication over broadband.

By leveraging the Internet to provide robust communication anywhere an end-user has LTE coverage, the new joint PTT solution will enable customers to use a single mobile device for both cellular and PTT communication in both one-to-one and group environments.

Utilising 4G/LTE as the most optimized infrastructure for premium data services with high-quality and high throughput demands, next-generation features include software-based push-to-talk voice communications, text messages, location tracking, emergency alerts, voice recording for all group calls and a hardware dispatch console for monitoring and controlling all PTT users in the field. The PTT solution's capabilities have already been successfully tested with smartphones connected via Telrad's BreezeCOMPACT base station and Mobile Tornado's MDC2000 multi-session dispatch.

Telrad will commence marketing the proposition in all of its markets around the world during Q1 2021 and Mobile Tornado will generate software license fees on every system sold.

Commenting on the new Partnership's joint-solution, Mobile Tornado CEO Avi Tooba added: "We are proud to partner with Telrad to deliver best-in-class instant communication solutions to our customers around the world. This new solution allows customers with traditional land mobile radio (LMR) and digital mobile radio (DMR) systems to migrate to extremely powerful LTE broadband systems with capabilities that do not exist in those older systems. This could prove transformative for organisations whose day-today operations rely on PTT communication, such as oil and gas or mining."

Yishai Amsterdamer, General Manager of Telrad added: "Many private networks typically use legacy wireless communication equipment that is several decades old in terms of its technology. Unfortunately, this equipment is simply unable to meet current and future demands for capacity as well as features. As the most optimized infrastructure for premium data services with high quality and high throughput demands, 4G/LTE is the ideal platform for next-generation PTT solutions like this. Through LTE, the standard PTT application can offer all modes of communication, including voice, messaging, alerts and SOS, while also benefiting from enhanced and more reliable coverage."
