(the 'Company')
External Auditor Appointment
Walker Crips Group plc announces that, following a competitive tender process and receipt of a letter of resignation from BDO LLP ("BDO") on 11 December 2020, it has appointed PKF Littlejohn LLP ("PKF") as its new independent auditor for the financial year ending 31 March 2021. The Company intends to propose the re-appointment of PKF as auditor to a vote of shareholders at the Company's next Annual General Meeting.
As required by section 519 of the Companies Act 2006, BDO has deposited a statement with the Company confirming that the reason for their resignation is that, following a competitive tender process, it was asked to resign. There are no other matters in connection with BDO ceasing to hold office as auditor that should be brought to the attention of the Company's shareholders or creditors.
In accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.1, a copy of the letter to the Company's shareholders containing the requisite statement from BDO is being submitted to the Financial Conduct Authority via the National Storage Mechanism and will shortly be available for inspection at https://data.fca.org.uk/#/nsm/nationalstoragemechanism.
