Trading update and notice of results
The Board of RTC is pleased to provide a trading update for its financial year ended 31 December 2021.
As outlined in the interim announcement, results for the year will reflect a period of lag in replacing revenue due to the slowdown of activities caused by COVID and the withdrawal of NATO troops from Afghanistan. In addition, 2020 revenue was bolstered by a one-off contract performance obligation settlement of £590,000 which is not repeated in 2021.
During the year we were successful in securing a new long-term contract with Network Rail, the mobilisation of which commenced in Q4 2021.
The Group expects to announce its preliminary results on or around 28 March 2022.
Bill Douie, Chairman, said:
"The performance of the Group in an extraordinarily challenging year has been satisfactory and both the net debt and cash positions are sound.
Whilst the trading environment during the second part of 2021 has continued to be difficult the Group as a whole has remained profitable.
I believe our results are a clear endorsement of the strategic path being followed by the Group and I am gratefully impressed by the diligence and determination of management at all levels in overcoming continued external challenges.
I remain confident of our ability to deliver continued positive results in 2022 in all areas of our business."
