GRC International Group PLC
("GRC" or the "Group")
Multi-year PCI contract signed and newly launched cloud security consultancy service wins first contract
GRC International Group PLC (AIM: GRC), the international governance, risk management and compliance company whose main business is cyber defence-in-depth, has signed a multi-year Payment Card Industry (PCI) security testing contract with a global provider of managed network solutions. The contract is expected to generate approximately £140,000 over a three year term.
Furthermore, the Group's recently launched cloud security consultancy service has signed its first contract.
Combined, this represents a strong start for the Group's technical security business and is strategically important for the direction of GRC going forward.
GRC's cyber security testing business is accredited by CREST and is also a PCI QSA (payment card industry qualified security assessor). All its security testing staff are directly employed, with multiple years of testing experience and a raft of current industry qualifications.
Alan Calder, Chief Executive Officer, commented:
"We only launched our new cloud security consultancy service last month. To secure such a strategically important contract is testament to our capabilities as well as market demand.
"The depth of skill and experience in our cyber security team is fundamental to our ability to win longer term testing contracts which are also driving an expansion in our global footprint across the USA and EU.
"Furthermore, nation-state and cyber criminal threats, and the increasing cyber compliance regulatory actions, are not driven by the economic cycle. We are therefore seeing in our Services division, which includes our technical security business, a notable shift away from being a cyclical business. In fact, in the first seven weeks of this financial year, the value of customer contracts won in our technical security business is 107% up on the same period a year ago."
