Exercise of Options and Total Voting Rights
Leeds, UK, 7 June 2022, - 4D pharma plc (AIM: DDDD, Nasdaq LBPS), a pharmaceutical company leading the development of Live Biotherapeutic products (LBPs), a novel class of drug derived from the microbiome, today announces that 36,610 ordinary shares of 0.25 pence each in the capital of the Company ("New Ordinary Shares") have been issued as a result of the exercise of employee share options under the Company's approved Long-Term Incentive Plan on 25 May 2022.
Application has been made for the New Ordinary Shares, which rank pari passu in all respects with the Company's existing Ordinary Shares, to be admitted to trading on AIM which is expected to occur on 8 June 2022.
Following the issue of the New Ordinary Shares, the Company's total issued share capital will consist of 180,337,577 Ordinary Shares with one voting right per share. The Company does not hold any Ordinary Shares in Treasury. Therefore, following the issue of the New Ordinary Shares, the total number of voting rights in the Company will be 180,337,577. This figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FCA's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.

The Company has a research collaboration with MSD (Merck & Co., Inc., Kenilworth, NJ, USA), to discover and develop Live Biotherapeutics for vaccines.
