BiON plc
("BiON" or the "Company")
Change of Accounting Reference Date
Update on Publication of Accounts
BiON (AIM: BION) gives notice that the Company is changing its accounting reference date from 31 December to 30 April to reflect BiON becoming a new entity - an AIM Rule 15 cash shell - following the disposal, on 19 April 2022, of BiON Ventures Sdn Bhd, which had been the Company's main operational subsidiary.
As a result, BiON's next three financial reporting events will be as follows:
- Publication of full year results and audited annual report and accounts for the sixteen months ended 30 April 2022: due now because of the change of year end from 31 December
- Publication of unaudited interim results for the six months ending 31 October 2022 by no later than 31 January 2022
- Publication of full year results and audited annual report and accounts for the 12 months ending 30 April 2023 by no later than 31 October 2023
Further to the announcement of 29 June 2022, the Company's ordinary shares have been suspended from trading on AIM since 1 July 2022 pending the publication of its audited annual report and accounts. The Company is working towards the completion of its annual report for the sixteen months ended 30 April 2022, and it intends to publish it within the coming weeks, which would enable a resumption of trading in the Company's ordinary shares on AIM.
The Company will update its shareholders in due course.
