Zenova Group PLC

("Zenova", the "Company" or the "Group")

Zenova FP Paint supplied to the NHS for the 3Ts (Trauma, Teaching and Tertiary care) redevelopment project at the Royal Sussex County site, Brighton as specified by BDP Architects and Laing O'Rourke Contractors on behalf of the NHS

Zenova Group PLC (AIM: ZED), a provider of fire safety and heat management technology solutions, is pleased to announce that it has been specified by BDP Architects, one of the largest architecture firms in the United Kingdom, and Laing O'Rourke, the largest privately owned construction company in the United Kingdom, to supply Zenova FP Paint within the main entrance facade as part of the  NHS's 3Ts redevelopment project at the Royal Sussex County site, Brighton.

This is a significant vote of confidence in the quality, reliability, durability and sustainability of Zenova's technology solutions by two of the largest firms in the United Kingdom's construction sector and Zenova looks forward to a long and sustained period of assisting both BDP Architects and Laing O'Rourke with their future projects.

There are encouraging signs for further NHS Projects. In addition, Zenova has completed the first phase of a pilot project at the NHS Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals Trust.

The pilot project has ascertained the benefits of using both Zenova IP and IR to improve insulation not only on the building fabric, but mechanical pipes, storage tanks and ducts. A better than 30% improvement in the insulation of hot water pipes thereby conserving energy was achieved. As a result further trials are being requested in the use of Zenova's IP and IR on other surfaces to ascertain the levels of likely energy saving and cost reduction as a result.

Commenting on the versatility and dependability of Zenova's fire safety and heat management technology solutions, Darren Magee, Estates & Facilities Director stated how he has been impressed by "the simplicity, longevity, fire protection, insulation & mould prevention characteristics of the coating technology" going on to state that the usage of these solutions are "significantly beneficial."

Commenting on being specified by BDP Architects and Laing O'Rourke Contractors, Tony Crawley, CEO of Zenova Group PLC, said: "Being specified by BDP Architects and Laing O'Rourke, to supply Zenova FP Paint to the NHS's 3Ts redevelopment project at the Royal Sussex County site in Brighton, is further evidence of the quality and growing reputation of Zenova's solutions for significant customers, and I look forward to seeing our solutions continuing to benefit these and other organizations.

The largest of these is the NHS, which, as we are all aware of, needs reform and positive change. Part of this is the need to reduce operating costs without compromising service or safety. I believe that Zenova is well positioned to assist this national institution in its efforts to reduce significant energy costs, and we are very proud to be able to offer technology that will make a difference without compromising on safety."

About Zenova Group PLC:

The Group, through Zenova Ltd, is the holder of intellectual property that underpins a suite of fire safety and temperature management products and technology. The product range is applicable to industrial, commercial, and residential markets. The Group's solutions include fire retardant paints, insulating paints and render, fire extinguishing fluid and applications. Through innovative development, and a refined formulation and development process, Zenova provides industry leading solutions across a range of fire protection and temperature management problems, comprising:

Zenova FP

A water-based fire-protection paint that prevents ignition and spread of fire. It can be used in commercial, industrial, and domestic applications on variety of materials, from wood to metal.

Zenova FX

Patent pending fire extinguisher filled with proprietary Zenova Fluid (Zenova FXB) that extinguishes all types of fires, reduces chances of re-ignition, works in cold (-15 ̊C) conditions, is non-toxic and does not produce harmful by-products.

Zenova IP

Thermal insulation paint that creates a thermal barrier, provides thermal reflection of sunrays and infrared radiation, anti-condensation, and anti-mould properties. It can be applied to virtually any exterior or interior material, regardless of the surface.

Zenova IR

Thermal insulation render to enhance the effectiveness of insulation by creating a thermo shield. It fills all cavities and gaps regardless of geometric shape and creates a vacuum - the most effective insulator.

Zenova WB

A wildfire barrier fluid (applied via spray wands or aerial drops), which provides a virtual barrier where fire simply will not burn. Repeated tests on a variety of extremely dry wildfire fuels (grasses, hays, brush) demonstrates the incredible fire resistance Zenova WB provides, while remaining viable after application for 30+ days in dry conditions.

Zenova CS

Patent pending next generation ceiling sprinkler filled with proprietary Zenova Fluid (Zenova FXB) that removes the need to install large fluid tanks, piping, complicated equipment, and software. This sprinkler could be installed in the kitchen.

The Group has achieved this without compromising the sustainability of natural and economical resources, including personal health and safety, with ecologically sound products.

About the NHS's 3Ts redevelopment project at the Royal Sussex County site, Brighton

The 3Ts Redevelopment is replacing all the buildings on the front half of the Royal Sussex County Hospital. In their place will be two brand new clinical buildings and a much-needed service and logistics yard. The project is also providing a helideck for air ambulances on top of the Thomas Kemp Tower, which is at the heart of the hospital. From there the most severely injured and unwell patients can be taken directly to A&E via a dedicated lift.

When complete, the new buildings will provide spacious, well-resourced and modern facilities for patients and staff in more than 40 wards and departments. It will also have replaced the oldest acute ward building in the NHS, the Barry Building, which has cared for patients since 1828.
