FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
WatchandWager secures agreement with Monarch Content Management
WatchandWager players gain access to major racetracks and Preakness Stakes
The board of Webis, the Group specialising in pool wagering and the operators of WatchandWager Cal Expo, the Californian harness track, is pleased to announce that its Advanced Deposit Wagering ("ADW") business, WatchandWager.com LLC ("WatchandWager") signed an agreement with Monarch Content Management Group to accept wagers on all Monarch-operated racetracks in 2023. Monarch Content Management Group is fully owned by the Stronach Group, a leading racetrack and technology operator in North America.
The agreement with Monarch Content Management Group allows WatchandWager players to wager on races at Golden Gate Fields, Gulfstream Park, Laurel Park, Pimlico, and Santa Anita Park plus many others. The additions of Gulfstream Park and Pimlico are important additions to the WatchandWager menu of available tracks. Based near Miami, Florida, Gulfstream Park is a major center of US horse racing, especially during the winter and spring when it hosts the Grade 1 Pegasus World Cup, as well as the Grade 1 Florida Derby and Grade 2 Fountain of Youth Stakes for Kentucky Derby hopefuls. Pimlico is located in Baltimore, Maryland, and is one of the oldest racetracks in the United States. The track is famous for hosting the second leg of the US Triple Crown, the Grade 1 Preakness Stakes in May.
The additions of Gulfstream Park, Laurel Park, and Pimlico are the result of efforts by the WatchandWager management team to obtain wagering access to these tracks. The agreement with Monarch means that WatchandWager players have full access to all of the top tracks in the United States, as well as wagering on all three legs of the US Triple Crown.
Ed Comins, President of WatchandWager, commented:
"We are pleased to have secured this agreement with our partners at Monarch Content Management for 2023. WatchandWager takes pride in offering the best racetracks to its players, and this contract fulfills that commitment to them. We believe that this agreement will be mutually-beneficial for both companies, and our players will be delighted to wager on top class racing from coast-to-coast."
The first day of racing at Gulfstream Park and Santa Anita Park is on Monday, 26th December.
