Director Appointment
Northern Bear (LSE:NTBR), the AIM listed group of companies (together, the "Group") providing specialist building and support services to customers in Northern England and across the UK, is pleased to announce the appointment of Martin Boden to the Board as a non-executive director of the Company with immediate effect.
Martin Boden is a Chartered Accountant with considerable experience in high growth businesses. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, he worked for FTSE 100 companies including WH Smith Group, NatWest Group and then Great Universal Stores where he was Group Financial Controller, primarily Manchester based. Martin has worked as Group CFO with both AIM and FTSE 250 listed companies as well as Private Equity owned organisations, having most recently been Group CFO at Small World Financial Services Group Limited. Martin's AIM listed experience was initially with Genus plc, a global animal genetics business that moved up to the FTSE 250, and most recently with Westminster Group plc, a global aviation security services business. Martin has been an executive main board member of businesses since 2007 and has previously worked with JDR Cable Systems Limited who are based in Hartlepool and with Bettys & Taylors who are based in Harrogate.

Martin Boden was appointed by Vision Capital LLP as a director of First Quench Group Limited ("FQG") and its subsidiary companies (including Threshers Wine Group) on 5 October 2009. FQG entered creditors voluntary liquidation on 28 April 2010 and was dissolved following a creditors' voluntary wind up on 1 May 2017. The total shortfall to FQG's sole creditor, HM Revenue & Customs, was £3,480,201. FQG's subsidiary companies have all been dissolved following either being liquidated or struck off.
There is no further information to be disclosed in relation to Martin Boden's appointment pursuant to AIM Rule 17 or Schedule Two, paragraph (g) (i)-(viii) of the AIM Rules for Companies.
