Earthquake in Morocco
Sound Energy (AIM: SOU), the transition energy company, expresses its condolences to all those affected by the tragic events resulting from the earthquake in Morocco on Friday, 8 September 2023.
The Company confirms that it has now completed surveying its assets located in its Sidi Moktar Onshore exploration permits, located approximately 100 kilometres to the northwest of the earthquake epicentre, and none have been impacted by the earthquake and all personnel are accounted for. The Company's other assets are located a significant distance from the impacted areas and are therefore unaffected.
The Company's personnel and subcontractors based in Morocco have offered to give blood and logistical support to the treatment of those injured.
Change of Name of Nominated Adviser
The Company also announces that its Nominated Adviser has changed its name to Cavendish Securities plc following completion of its own corporate merger.
