| Exercise of an option over 173,807 shares on 5 December 2023 arising on the vesting of an award under the Mitchells & Butlers Restricted Share Plan ("RSP"), followed by the sale of 81,939 shares on 7 December 2023 in order to discharge the tax and National Insurance contributions arising on that exercise. The disposal of shares to satisfy tax and National Insurance arising on exercise of incentive awards is consistent with the Company's shareholding policy which forms part of the Company's approved remuneration policy. The remainder of the shares after disposal will be retained and held by the director concerned in accordance with that shareholding policy.
