ACG METALS LIMITED
("ACG" or the "Company")
ACG appoints new General Manager of the Gediktepe Mine
ACG Metals is pleased to announce the promotion of Barış Baş as General Manager of the Gediktepe Mine in Türkiye, effective immediately. Mr Bas brings 15 years of experience in mining operations, project management, and technical services across a diverse range of commodities, precious metals and polymetallic mines. Having spent over eight years at Gediktepe - most recently as a Mine Manager - he has overseen all phases of the Gediktepe Oxide Project, from feasibility study to construction and production. His appointment aligns with ACG's strategy to develop internal talent and strengthen local leadership.
As General Manager, Mr Bas will co-lead the execution of the Sulphide Expansion Project alongside Gediktepe Technical Project Director Graeme Rapley, appointed in October. This major development will shift Gediktepe's production from gold and silver to copper and zinc concentrate, with gold and silver as by-products. The expansion is expected to yield 20kt-25kt of copper equivalent annually over an initial 11-year mine life, with first production targeted for early 2026.
Artem Volynets, Chairman and CEO of ACG, said:
"We are delighted to promote Barış to General Manger of the Gediktepe Mine, fulfilling our strategy to develop our internal talent pool. His expertise and long-standing contributions to the mine position him well to lead the Gediktepe operating team as ACG looks to become the leading copper mining company on the LSE."
