Schroder BSC Social Impact Trust plc

Publication of Annual Impact Report

The Board of Schroder BSC Social Impact Trust plc (the "Company", the "Social Impact Trust" or "SBSI"), which provides a unique investment opportunity to address UK social challenges, today announces the publication of the Company's fourth annual Impact Report.

The report demonstrates that since inception the portfolio has:

·    Reached over 422,000 people, of which 98% are underserved or disadvantaged.

·    Provided more than 30,000 people with education, training and employment support.

·    Generated over £230m of savings and income for government.

The report contains details on the key impact themes and performance over the year. It also includes various case studies which demonstrate the impact generated by the portfolio's investees, such as providing specialist accommodation for tenants with learning disabilities, delivering family therapy services, generating energy and other benefits for local communities, and initiatives tackling homelessness.

Hermina Popa, SBSI Portfolio Manager and Managing Director at Better Society Capital, said:

"The UK faces significant social challenges that cannot be addressed by government funding alone. The Social Impact Trust investors are providing vital capital to enterprises aiming to reduce poverty and homelessness and helping to prevent long-term health conditions for those most at risk, amongst other major challenges.

The fact that the Social Impact Trust's investments have reached so many people since inception, with such a high percentage being underserved or disadvantaged, is testament to the work of the frontlines that the Trust has supported."

Susannah Nicklin, Chair of Schroder BSC Social Impact Trust plc, also said:

"The Trust is designed to deliver both financial returns and measurable, meaningful social change across the UK. With this first Impact Report since the Social Impact Trust adopted the FCA's Sustainability Impact label, the Board hopes to continue the high standard of impact practice and transparency that has been our goal since inception.

The report details how impact investing works for investors, frontline organisations and the people that they support, and we look forward to discussing it with our shareholders."
