STATEMENT REGARDING POTENTIAL ACQUISITION OF HSBC MALTA PLC
Lion Finance Group PLC (the "Company") notes the recent press speculation regarding its bid for acquisition of HSBC Malta operations (the "Target").
The Company confirms that it is participating in a process with respect to the intended sale by HSBC Continental Europe ("HSBC") of its stake in the Target. There can be no certainty that any agreement will be reached in relation to the possible acquisition by the Company of HSBC's stake.
The Company will update the market in due course.
