Appointment of Renewable Energy Specialist Advisor
Active Energy Group Plc is pleased to announce that it has appointed Mr. Brian Glendinning as specialist advisor (non-Board) on solar energy and battery storage, as the Company continues to expand its renewable energy strategy.
Brian Glendinning - Background
Mr. Glendinning is a civil engineer with over 25 years of experience in the renewable energy sector. He began his career at EAGA Plc, where he successfully oversaw delivery of the £350 million Government-funded Warm Front scheme.
In the past decade, he founded and grew Engenera into one of the UK's leading independent EPC contractors, delivering over 200 commercial rooftop solar projects and achieving a turnover of more than £17m in 2023. Under his leadership, Engenera received multiple industry awards, including National Installer of the Year and National Energy Champion.
A career highlight includes leading the development and commissioning of a 20MW ground-mounted solar farm at the Nissan manufacturing plant in Washington, England, which at the time was the UK's largest private wire solar installation.
