Churchill Mining plc 01 June 2005 Churchill Mining Plc locates further priority manganese targets at South Woodie Woodie HIGHLIGHTS: • A regional exploration review of Churchill's northern land holding has located several new manganese targets located in favourable structural and lithological settings. • A similar targeting process for the company's southern ground position is now underway. • First drilling is planned to begin in August 2005. Churchill Mining Plc is pleased to announce that results from the company's Regional Targeting Study over the northern portion of its South Woodie Woodie Manganese Project has identified several new priority targets. Perth-based geological consultancy group Ravensgate Pty Ltd completed the study utilising geophysical and remote sensing data, aerial photography and field mapping. This preliminary work has identified that key parameters exist within Churchill's ground that are considered important controls to known manganese mineralisation within the East Pilbara Manganese Province, namely prospective structural orientations and favourable lithological host rocks including dolomite and shale. In total the company has identified seven new anomalies for further follow-up work. At the Disraeli Anomaly, areas of surficial manganese proximal to structurally disrupted dolomite outcrop have been identified, and the anomaly is considered to be a high priority target. Two other anomalies, Pelham and Wilson, occur as large areas of surficial manganese approximately 3-4km north of the Enacheddong Creek Prospect and require immediate further investigation. Targeting work over the southern portion of the South Woodie Woodie Project area is currently underway. When complete, all identified target areas will be prioritised and inspected in the field prior to initial drill testing scheduled for August 2005. Churchill Mining's South Woodie Woodie project is situated in the highly prospective East Pilbara region of Western Australia. The company's project comprises of 490 square kilometers of tenements, granted or under application, details of which can be found at www.churchillmining.com For further information please contact - Churchill Mining Plc Paul Mazak - Joint Managing Director Tel: +61 (0) 419 906 060 James Hamilton - Joint Managing Director Tel: +61 (0) 402 186 106 Ruegg & Co Limited Brett Miller Tel: 020 7584 3663 Midas Investment Management Limited Mark Sheppard Tel: 0870 121 1445 The information in the announcement above is based on information compiled by Mr L.
